Back-to-school season can be stressful and expensive, but we’re here to provide some loving help!

BUILDING A VILLAGE WITH LOVE
The story of Love City Ministries' dedication to giving back began in 2017 when the Strawbridges welcomed their child, Lucas, into their lives.
"Growing up, we always heard the African proverb that it takes a village to raise a child," Pastor Cindy said. "Until you have a child, you don't know how important the village is; but what about the people who don't have a village?"
Grateful for the unwavering support of their friends, family, and community, Pastors Jonathan and Cindy felt inspired to become part of the village that many parents in their community needed. This inspiration led to the hosting of their first community baby shower in 2019, an event that welcomed 150 parents to celebrate their new arrivals and receive free baby supplies donated by stores and community members.
Named in honor of their son, the Lucas and Friends mission continues to evolve to align with his age and understanding, as Lucas matures both in age and in his understanding of the importance of serving others.
Lucas and Friends looks toward a future of blessing our community’s children, one diaper, one uniform, one notebook at a time. However, we cannot achieve this accomplishment alone as each event is 100% donation-driven with the help of community sponsors and donors.
